Man Breaks Into Four Long Island Businesses, Walks Away With Cash Registers, Police Say

According to detectives, an unknown man used a flower pot to break the front door’s glass at the Pizza Hut in Westbury at 61 Old Country Road around 2:30 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 29.

The man then entered and removed a cash register containing an undisclosed amount of cash, Nassau County Police said.

A short time later, the same man walked across the street, and broke into three businesses at the Mall at the Source and removed cash registers from the following businesses:

  • The Cheesecake Factory
  • Everything Christmas
  • Toy Terrace Holiday Express

All the registers taken contained cash, police added.

The man is described as being white, in his 20’s, 5-foot-10, with an average build. 

He was wearing a light-colored long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, a blue baseball hat, black sneakers and a gray backpack.
